Cultural transit

Trance national art project Cultural Transit was founded in 1995 as a joint Russian - Norwegian art project aimed to introduce and popularize the contemporary art, film and music scenes of the two neighboring countries in its cultural centers such as St. Petersburg and Oslo, Moscow and Bergen. Since then we have arranged and promoted a number of art exhibitions, film screenings and concerts.
List of cultural events arranged in frame of Cultural Transit:
2008-2009: Norwegian Creative Short Film Program selected combined and presented at the "ISAFF Open Cinema" in St. Petesburg. In 2009 Dimitri Lurie was awarded as the curator of the best non-competition program.
2001: Curatorial project "Visions of Colour" - a joint painting exhibition with Slava (DUK) Kapralov (RUS), Sissel Finborud (NOR) & Toril Høstad Wik (NOR) venue: KUNST & INTERIØR GALLERI in Oslo. 2000: Presentation of Monica Herstad (Norway) with her butoh performance "Invisible Planet" to Free Art Festival "Solncevorot" on the stage of the Baltijskiy Dom Theatre in St. Petersburg.
1996: A curatorial project of Dimitri Lurie "STYLE END" - а fine art drama in 6 acts. Rumyantsev mansion, Тhe St. Petersburg City History Museum. Supported by Nordic Council of Ministers' office in St. Petersburg, Oslo Kommune, Telenor International, Norwegian Ship Brokers, I.&M. Lourie Brochure of the project: Front / Inside 1996: "NeverForever" - a retrospective exhibition of the St. Petersburg artist Slava (DUK) Kapralov in "Nebb-X" gallery, Oslo.
1995-2001: Presentation of various ex-Soviet artists, musicians and filmmakers on the stage of "Volpauk" - litterature and cultural foundation in Oslo, Norway.
